We are currently recruiting for the position of CP (Crop Protection) Head of Marketing Central Europe.

Role purpose

We are looking for proactive leader who will be responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy within Syngenta Crop Protection in Central Europe BU (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Baltic countries). Marketing Head will design and drive customer leadership initiatives, establish sound Portfolio Management strategies, contribute to digital transformation in order to drive commercial excellence across our CP Business Unit.

Business impact

  • Leads as conceptual thought leader who defines strategy across marketing activities in the BU
  • Accountable for a mid-sized marketing team and leads change management in BU Marketing Team:

o   to grow the business by maximizing existing portfolio and tools and developing new technologies, i.e. biologicals

o   to actively develop BU Marketing team members and ensure appropriate talent pipeline

  • Acts as a critical link with EAME & Global Marketing Team to drive development of marketing capabilities in the BU, fostering best practice sharing amongst these teams
  • Ensures delivery of all departmental objectives
  • Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and is often required to solve unique and complex problems by introducing innovative solutions
  • The Head of Marketing is the Go-to person in BU to identify opportunities for introducing new marketing approaches and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • To manage several key services through subordinate managers/leads (portfolio, digital, market insights etc.) in Business Unit Central Europe
  • To adapt and execute transformation across CP Marketing in Central Europe in a successful way to help deliver cutting-edge strategy, combining traditional and new businesses
  • To coach and lead an effective marketing organization in order to build and execute impactful campaigns through the commercial organization; to propose reactivity plans needed to deliver on the business objectives
  • To manage budget and resources allocated with Central Europe CP Marketing Team
  • To supervise and steer an actionable end to end campaign management & execution to ensure delivery of business objectives
  • To organize and coordinate the development of the 5-year plan to take advantage of business opportunities and clearly define key strategies
  • To work closely with BU Head, Head of Sales, as well as EAME Regional Marketing Head
  • To influence digital strategy within the organization in terms of its impact on structure, culture and strategic marketing plans and to lead the embedding of digital capability into the marketing strategy to the benefit of the customer

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in agriculture, business studies/marketing or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial role in an international organisation, preferably within agricultural industry or similar
  • Strong digital capability, experience in digital campaign execution
  • Demonstrated ability to significantly grow business results and brand recognition
  • Agile in interacting with stakeholders, partners, officials, and industry players
  • Demonstrated ability to lead marketing team through transformation and create collaborative winning team mindset in marketing and beyond
  • Strong, entrepreneurial, and inspirational leadership skills
  • Experience leading multi-cultural teams (responsible for whole multi-country marketing team)
  • Ability to balance long-term vision of market potential, evolution, business opportunities – especially in digitalization and customer experience with short-term execution
  • Fluent English
  • Location: preferably Poland or within Central Europe area
