 ROLE PURPOSE

  • To manage the Country demand in Seeds ; scheduling in order to achieve the target Customer Service Levels at the appropriate cost.
  • To provide a single coordination point of contact for Vegetable seeds Customer Service.
  • To support the local supply chain and Vegetable seeds team in its daily activities.

   ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that Local Order creation and Deliveries both Commercial & Samples are Processed and delivered at target customer service levels.
  • Manage Commercial Inventory tracking via iscala/Foundation
  • Manage and coordinate stock levels with distributors and Synergy
  • Seamless Hard & Soft Documentation and Filing related to Vegetable seeds commercial Operations
  • Stakeholder Management (Within and Without)-Support Veg seeds team with order processing and collaborate with ZM supply chain/finance team when needed.
  • Cross-functional coordination with colleagues – Support Vegetable seed country manager with corporate customer account management
  • Proper alignment on Vegetable Seed Sales desk Support-Allocate  time needed to support vegetable seed on additional commercial processes
  • Support Zambia Iscala – Foundation Migration by working close with the project team
  • Work closely with Netherlands Order Management to ensure OTIF deliveries and no stock outs of key products-Place replenishment orders in Netherlands ,adding PO in iscala/FND
  • Application for Import Permits from Single Window Tool and making payments at Ministry of Agriculture
  • Application for PRA (Pest Risk Assessment) and making follow ups
  • Sending Export documents to clearing Agent and arranging for pick ups for cleared stock
  • Seed Certification follow up at SCCI
  • Monthly Demand Review meeting with Vegetable seeds Country Manager
  • Attending ZASTA (Zambia Seed Trade Association) meetings as and when required
  • Carry out Monthly counts and Bi-Annual stock takes

 

 


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Critical Knowledge:

  • Relevant Supply Chain/Logistics qualification - BSC or Diploma in Supply chain/Logistics
  • General Knowledge in Agriculture-A degree in Agronomy/Agriculture/Horticulture is an added advantage

Critical Skills:

  • Planning and project management. (good analytical skills)
  • Effective liaison with other business functions and staff on a regional and global level.
  • Key supply chain systems and tools, IBP/iSCALA/GSAP/ Foundation
  • Shows intiative, is proactive and be willing team player
  • IT skills especially of Microsoft MS Office Programs.
  • Can work well under pressure in a multi-cultural environment.

Critical Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Agro industry supply chain/Logistics processes
  • functional and technical Expertise in vegetable seeds international logistics/shipping Extensive interaction with general management across the business.
