Job description

Job purpose

To plan, coordinate, and ensure timely planning of Starter material and Mother stock planting, for smooth running of all operations, to achieve timely production of required quality and quantity of unrooted and rooted cuttings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate implementation of Starter material build up program as scheduled by the Global Capacity planner and with the site Capacity Planner.
  • Monitor planting and establishment of Mother stock in the Elite greenhouses and make regular updates of actual quantities in the FMS.
  • Make timely planning of PS2 mother stock build up in line with the supply plan to meet the PS build up demand for the forth coming season.
  • Coordinates harvesting of un-rooted cuttings giving priority to destinations, delivery groups and product sensitivity to meet quality, in time and in full.
  • Plan media potting & appropriate arrangement depending on planting priorities, spacing and the area availability.
  • Plan the relocation of crops within and to other blocks in accordance with the location planning changes in time and without mixes.
  • Facilitates the printing and distribution of variety stickers according to destination in time, for smooth harvesting process.
  • Ensures compliance with all Phyto-sanitary protocol to achieve high quality cuttings.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping in their areas of operation.
  • Enforces the Health Safety and Environment( HSE) rules and regulations and champions the implementation of Syngenta HSE policy and standards.
  • Any other tasks and projects as may be allocated from time to time.

  • B.Sc.  Agriculture or horticulture
  • Over 5 year’s of relevant work experience
