To support that challenge, the Digital Delivery team is currently seeking a creative and motivated Software Developer Intern who is passionate about impacting the world and helping craft the next generation of digital solutions. As a Software Developer intern, you will utilize your skills and desire to learn as part of a development team to develop, maintain and scale Syngenta digital products. Our software developers are key to creating innovative solutions to support the needs of the organization, and our team has delivered some of the most amazing apps in the industry.

Estimated Duration: May – August 2023 

What you will do: 

You’ll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, influence others, and be an owner every day as you... 

  • Help design, develop, test, and implement reusable components, modules, and templates to meet functional requirements for multiple environments. 
  • Architect and create efficient and reusable components that will be the backbone of complex applications. 
  • Take part in Agile development processes. 
  • Work with developers and stakeholders to define product strategy and vision to continue developing. 
  • Follow standards for systems design, program development, and documentation. 
  • Work with a cross-functional global team (India, Brazil, Mexico) to complete an intern project. 
  • Closely collaborate with front end web and mobile developers to define the roadmap of innovation that you will adventure and code upon.

Sound Like You? 

You might be just who we’re looking for if you are... 

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. 
  • Experienced in writing clean, efficient code using python or node.js. 
  • Experience in AWS managed services. 
  • Proficient in software development and building APIs. 
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL database like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB or DocumentDB. 

What gives you an advantage? 

  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for problem identification and solving. 
  • Knowledgeable of current trends and best practices in server-side scripting, including performance, security, usability and scalability. 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, analytical, a problem-solver, and can function well in a self-directed, team-oriented environment. 
  • Ability to explain tales of coding odysseys to crowds both technical and non-technical. 
  • Experience using analytics data to make decisions on the UI. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
