  • Understand & implement Syngenta HSE & Quality Policy Standard
  • Act as the key person in managing project that take ownership on the whole site automation functional including all process instrument in order to ensure the site operations are meet Syngenta requirements.
  • Introduce and integrate the new technology transferring to the site facility and deploy the continuous Improvement.
  • To sustain and improve the site digitalization/ITOT systems with potential new product or current software development to improve business or Manufacturing processes.

Accountabilities:

  • Acquiring a detailed understanding of all automation systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMI, Instrument, etc.), investigating and providing technical advice and managing the specification, development, installation and validation of current and future automation projects. 
  • Responsibility for providing technical support on Manufacturing processing Systems, Process Control Systems, to effectively support operational activities and continuously improve manufacturing performance.
  • Working on control platforms and getting involved in future projects to ensure all planning activities will be undertaken in a structured manner. 
  • Follow Safety Procedure and monitoring process to ensure that systems/machines are comply to safety & regulatory.
  • Establishing the maintenance procedures, conducting problem analysis and problem solving, providing technical knowledge to the team, and work with external support from suppliers or colleagues in the company group for IT/OT and Automation matters.
  • Identify, implement and demonstrate site engineering improvement action to other functional with observable progress on the regular basis.
  • Identification of new opportunities on automation & digital transformation within the manufacturing process.
  • Lead the project for SMART Manufacturing at Site. 
  • Developing and maintaining clear governance and accurate documentation of automation systems and or processes and Digitalization.
  • Knowledge transfer typically on new process introduction and implementation.
  • Performance monitoring of overall automation processes and System Architecture on an ongoing basis.
  • Implementation of HSE, Quality, & Can-Do behaviour to all activities

Qualifications

Essentials Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering Majoring of Mechatronics, Electronics, Controls, Instrumentation, or any other related field, Master degree is preferred.
  • Good understanding of industrial controls, wiring diagrams and SLD. 
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and automation integration processing units.
  • Able to troubleshoot and solve industrial control system issues.Good knowledge of PLC programming, HMI, SCADA.
  • Good command of spoken and written English is a must.
  • Strong knowledge and experience on electronics, IT and OT area especially on Automation and Electronics Devices, Data Acquisition and processing.
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience.
  • Good knowledge of Smart Manufacturing, Digital Transformation, Industrial 4.0, SIRI Assessment, Electrical Safety, etc.
  • Good interpersonal, communication skills and customer orientation.
  • Be familiar with modern and latest technology of management systems.
