At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds and crop protection innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. To support this challenge, we are seeking an Area Maintenance Manager to ensure equipment availability and reliability of a production unit in the St. Gabriel plant. You will maintain assigned units in good operating condition (mechanical, electrical & instrumentation areas), with help of internal and external resources within budget constraints. You will also establish good communication with customers, control expenses, implement improvement measures, be responsible for small capital disbursements, participate & support plant wide safety and environmental initiatives.   

 


Qualifications

  • Mechanical integrity of unit/plant 

  • Maintain a safe & environmentally sound working environment (aid to continuously improve it) 

  • Operate within allotted budget 

  • Initiate and control capitalizations 

  • Be customer focused without losing track of business needs 

  • Continuously improve working processes 

  • Equipment reliability improvements   

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required; experience in the related field is a plus 

  • Communication, team leadership, and technical understanding 

Preferred Requirements 

  • Previous plant expereience desired but not required
