The global Data and Analytics team is leading the digital transformation of Syngenta and is at the forefront of innovation. It is responsible for designing, architecting, implementing, and supporting cloud based scalable data and analytics solutions across all business units and all geographies. Within this data analytics department, we deliver solutions following Agile principles leveraging LeSS framework and are looking for a scrum master to join our team.

The Scrum Master in LeSS is responsible for facilitating the adoption and effective execution of the Scrum framework across multiple teams within a Large-Scale Scrum environment. They are a servant-leader who supports and empowers teams to continuously improve and deliver high-quality products. The Scrum Master in LeSS is a critical role that helps ensure teams are aligned, focused, and working collaboratively towards common goals.

The main accountabilities of this role will be:

  • Facilitate and coach the adoption of LeSS principles and practices by the team
  • Facilitate Scrum events and ceremonies at the team and overall product level
  • Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within and across teams
  • Coach and mentor the team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Scrum and agile principles
  • Identify and remove impediments that are hindering the team's progress towards their goals
  • Ensure transparency by maintaining relevant metrics and reports
  • Act as a servant-leader, working to facilitate team decision-making and create a safe, supportive team environment
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize the product backlog and ensure alignment with the team's goals
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination and communication to ensure overall product goals are met
  • Continuously improve their own knowledge and understanding of LeSS and agile practices, and share that knowledge with the team

In addition to these specific responsibilities, a successful LeSS Scrum Master should embody the values of Scrum and agile, including a focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering customer value. They should be able to guide the team through the complexities of scaling agile to larger organizations while keeping the focus on the principles of Scrum.


Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
  • Familiarity with Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) principles and practices
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
