Job description

Role purpose

  • Responsible to execute follow parent seed production planning (SPP) during a season with planting plan variety wise, field agronomy monitoring from planting till to harvested row material from field location deliver to drying plant.
  •  Responsible for executing parent seed multiplication order process alignment, ensure comply to process.
  •  Deliver parent seed row material within quality product specification version update, in scope on Pre basic seed and Basic seed generation, by ensure all field production process comply with standard process.
  • Ensuring that all documents necessary for further certification are received and that the process is conducted in state and corporate controller systems.

Accountabilities

  • Provide for execute parent seed multiplication order process alignment, ensure comply to multiplication order  end to end process, by coordinate with manager.
  • Ensure to deliver parent seed (PBS&BAS generation) within quality product specification version update and have improvement.
  • Accountable for production Pre basic seed and Basic seed generation in grower field, by ensure all field production process comply with standard process
  • Led the field safety implementation for Parent Seed Production and communicate to grower following our standard.
  • Submit weekly/Biweekly parent seed field production update.
  • Ensure the comply of Syngenta policy as Code of conduct, HSES, FLP, Safe drive.
  • Provide end season analysis for field production gap and improvement, meeting to stakeholder such as grower, big grower, plant ops, MO, PLM.
  • Ensure proper field data record, evaluation, %yield estimation VS actual within target +/- 20% by variety and %Reliability +/-10% for overall.
  • Ensure parent seed production management with good performance and hand over as target.
  • Provision of field certification and inspection in accordance with the legislation. Effective work with official inspectors to timely reflect the necessary information in all information systems that ensure the certification of seed material.
  • Ensuring independent field approbation and availability of appropriate licenses.  Providing of-season seed conditioning and bringing them up to the company's specifications.
  • Providing grow out during the off-season period.
  • Development, implementation, and management of parent seed production technology in the field, with the aim of maximizing the yield and quality of seeds.
  • Support to the line manager in achieving goals of reliability, quality, and cost control in seed production.
  • Assistance with factory, laboratory, and logistics activities during the peak period at the end of the field season.

Qualifications

  • Crop agronomy cultural practice

  • Parental line variety characteristic identification
  • Knowledge of English is appreciated.
  • Able to use various computer program, Power point, Excel, Microsoft word, SAP, FGIS SEMENOVODSTVO, EFIS ZSN.
  • Openly mind set
  • Proactive, safety mind set
  • Photograph ability

Critical knowledge:

  •   Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in field crop production or breeding is preferable  
  •   Experience in parent seeds production field 3-5 years, corn/sunflower production is priority

Critical Skill:

  • Knowledge of speaking, listening, and writing in English is greatly appreciated.
  • Strong planning and time management skill.
  • Good Interpersonal skill with effective communication.
  • Analytical skill and able to work independently in managing manufacturing activities in the responsible area.
  • Ability to identified parent seed character to execute rouging activities
  • Strong leadership, coaching and consultancy skills with ability to manage and motivate people to improve theirs work and quality
