This role will establish and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability within Seeds R&D.
Accountabilities
- Create and maintain a culture of Data Governance by partnering with functional data owners to promote best practices, standards, principles, and policies.
- Facilitate and promote the usage and adoption of data governance tools, processes, and procedures among functional business users.
- Monitor data quality metrics to understand the health of data and impacts on business results.
- Lead the resolution of data quality issues discovered by data quality reporting.
- Develop and deploy active/passive data governance initiatives to identify and resolve data inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or redundancies.
- Implement day-to-day needs of the data governance and data quality program.
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures for data governance approved by the Data Governance council and team.
- Identify data quality opportunities and drive compliance with data governance and quality initiatives.
- Ensure data governance opportunities are identified and addressed throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Date Governance or related field
- A minimum of a 4-year degree in one or multiple of the following: life sciences, computer science, data management, data governance, data science.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship support from Syngenta.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Data Catalog tools like Collibra or Alation.
- Ability to establish and implement data governance frameworks.
- Ability to conduct requirement gathering sessions.
- Ability to perform data analysis using SQL, Python, or R.
- Data Catalog/Data Analysis knowledge.
