Senior CP Business Controller

Role Purpose:

• Reporting to the country Head of Finance Indonesia and Malaysia, the role will be responsible for managing a small Finance team to drive E2E sustainable business growth in CP Commercial areas for Indonesia and Malaysia
• Collaborate with the Reporting and Tax as part of the Finance Leadership team (FLT) to lead and drive strategic change agendas as required by the business and functions.
• Deputize for Finance Head in business related meetings with internal or external stakeholders when needed and take bold decisions/actions as required in consultation.
• Build and continuously maintain a highly functional business facing finance team that is fit for purpose to deliver business results.

Accountabilities:

Provide key insights to cross functional teams and support business growth through rigorous evaluation of P&L and key business and operational drivers.

High visibility role where this role will work closely with senior business leaders to evaluate business performance and strategic initiatives and to drive delivery of results.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Act as strategic business partner to the ID and MY CPLT, including financial reporting and analysis, compliance and process improvement
• Drives delivery of stretched financial performance and targets, including working capital management
• Drives analysis of business performance: sales, pricing, margins, credit management and costs followed by action plan to deliver/exceed targets 
• Review monthly/ quarterly forecasts and drive annual budgeting process for the Commercial Unit
• As a member of the country Finance Leadership Team (FLT), be an engaged leader in driving the finance strategic agenda in collaboration with other finance areas (e.g. Business Facing, Finance Operations, Shared Services)

• Bachelor degree and/or Professional Accounting qualification, at least 12 years relevant finance experience ; proven track record of success in managing people and key stakeholder engagement in similar organization. Initial training in a Big 4 audit firm will be advantageous
• A hands on – problem solver, having strong influencing skills and good decision making abilities. Self-motivated and result orientated with strong drive for excellence and continuous improvement
• Strong interest to understand the E2E business and bring an edge to finance business partnering
• Strong communicator with good presentation skills, as the role requires working & influencing across different levels of management and across functions/ geographies
• Advanced Excel and a working knowledge of ERP Accounting system desirable
