Role purpose

  • Support detailed 3-weeks production scheduling.
  • Support the managing of the 3-Months capacity view of the production plan for both firmed and non-firmed demands.
  • Closely monitor the result of Material Replenishment Planning (MRP) by analysing the system generated material requirement plan report.
  • Follow up on the Artwork labels change process to ensure correct version is applied, and minimize the materials' write off.
  • Analyse production order fulfilment scheduling (actual vs. plan) and recommend actions for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively communicate a possible negative impact from supply delays on the production plan and revise production plan accordingly.
  • Purchasing of Raw materials.
  • First point of contact for day to day operational issues with suppliers.
  • Place orders (and run MRP for material orders) accordingly in SAP to ensure formulation and packaging components are available at asset(s) for production.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Utilize our assets to operate the costs effectively
  • Closely monitor the result of MRP, look after material requirement plan system generated, and release PR for material
  • Expedite and follow up critical on PurOrders acknowledgement and sorders with suppliers and log any non conformance to delivery.
  • Co-ordination along the supply chain, especially with FF&P Supply Chain Planners, Vendor Schedulers and Manufacturing to manage the production plan and ex-works shipments over a ze-ro to end current season horizon.
  • Process all escalations on tieRex,tiers,SCOT and ROP on material issues

Accountabilities

  • Understand any specific Vendor contractual agreements with Procurement (monthly vendor schedule, volume, procurement lead time, lot size etc)
  • Monthly and annual Review Planning Master Data (gSAP MRP 1-4) for ALL Materials & KPICheck gSAP system for MRP updating, review the correctness of material requirement plan after MRP run.
  • Manage workflows in SAP
  • Review the correctness of the rolling material forecast to supplier in close collaboration with the Vendor Scheduler.
  • Check & Action Delay Report (internally sourced inbound Orders/Deliveries)
  • Verify stock accuracy with the Warehouse Supervisor and stock reconcilation
  • Convert PurRqs to POs nearing the 'Procurement PTF'
  • Create, Validate & Issue Vendor Schedule (Forecast)
  • Review Slow No Mover Report for Materials under MRP controllerConfirm production completion date and adherence to plan with Production Technicians and communicate an Advanced Delay Report (ADR) to the Asset Planner.
  • Timely communicate with all internal stakeholders any production delays, material constraints and possible customer sales losses in order to reprioritise the plan.
  • Attend weekly production meeting with the Production, Engineering, HSEQ and Warehouse Departments.
  • Attend monthly site meetings(ROP,SCOT and tiers)
  • Fully understand site production line flexibility and production capacity, labour constraints, well communicate with on line supervisors, and work out weekly production plan with 6 weeks rolling every Monday by effective use our assets.
  • Communicate with site people timely and well known on line production issues, adjust weekly production plan and if any urgent sales call.
  • Take action if any Quality or Quantity Issues  of Inbound Deliveries reported on arrivalAssist to set up material safety stock reasonably, work with colleagues to achieve inventory target
  • Daily products and production status update
  • Vendor Performance OTIF KPI & Reason Codes
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local Manufacturing to enable transparency and delivery of responsiveness.
  • Ensure that all processes throughout the asset operate against MRPII philosophies & principles
  • The vendor scheduler will ensure Plant/Unit specific dynamic & static master/operational data integrity in APO and SAP is accurate at all times.
  • Minimise production downtime due to supply delays and material unavaibility
  • Documentation eg Certificates of Analysis,  Missing documentation
  • Review & Balance Material Requirements plan in 'Frozen' horizon (within Procurement PTF) and for the full horizon (minium 12 months)
  • Check & Action Past Due Receipts (POs/STO/DELs)

Qualifications

Knowledge & capabilities

Critical knowledge & experience

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or degree)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in scheduling in a chemical manufacturing or working in a manufacturing environment as an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of supply chain concepts and methodologies including MRP.
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft applications and SAP R/3
