Job description

Role purpose

  • To generate data by carrying out product biology field trials of new & existing products as per assigned protocols
  • Digital initiatives in trialing
  • Report generation
  • Find best performing dose in terms of efficacy in various CP trials
  • Visual excellence

Accountabilities

  • Execution of product biology field trials as per assigned protocols.
  • Co-ordination with sales team of the area for field selection & problem handling if required.
  • Ensure 100% data capture by EDC
  • Report/Export data within same day to cloud/ARM
  • Crop agronomy expert.
  • Knowledge of crop protection products.
  • Understanding of experimental designs and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with application equipment and safety practices.
  • Maintain good relationships with key E. I’s and across functions.
  • Compliance to CoC, HSE, Driving and other company policies
  • Deliver Quality raw data and single trial reports.
  • Ensure rating in “Trial rating tool”.
  • Support team colleagues relating data capturing.
  • Compliance to quality parameters defined for each parameter.
  • Statistical understanding of trials data and implementation
  • Travel to find the required pest and crop in area.

Qualifications

Critical knowledge

  • M. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture
  • Specialization in Agri. Entomology, Plant Pathology and Agronomy will be preferred

Critical experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience of CP trialing
  • Should be familiar with local communities/norms.

Additional Information

Technical, Professional and Personal Capabilities

  • Should have very good understanding of execution of product biology field trials, i.e. field selection, layout, randomization, sampling, assessment, compilation and reporting data, presentation of trial results etc.
  • Should have very strong ability of monitoring pest OR crop situation in the field & provide best pest management for non-target pest in trialing area.
  • Good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills.
  • Monitoring of competitors’ activity in the field & regular reporting to line manager
