Treasury Manager

• Manage all trade finance-related activities in compliance with Syngenta’s policies & procedures.
• Responsible for managing the overall treasury function & payment processing team.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual cash flow forecasts & budgets.
• Closely work with the supply chain team to ensure import LCs/Bank contracts are timely arranged.
• Monitor & publish daily bank position & identify short-term investment opportunities, closely monitor loans, borrowings & financing facilities.
• Establish good working relations with the banks and financial institutions.
• Closely work with the regional treasury team & ensure all monthly reporting activities are performed in a timely & quality manner.
• Work on monthly BS account reconciliations & ensure completion within the specified timelines & with desired quality by Syngenta Internal Control Framework.
• Review journals including but not limited to prepaid, accruals at month end, and associated internal controls.
• Prepare ad-hoc and routine treasury/management information & analysis.
• Execution of Internal Controls by Syngenta's Internal Control Framework.
• Critically review processes to identify gaps & recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure stakeholder/vendor queries are attended to and resolved in a timely, responsible & proactive manner.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all the escalations related to in-scope processes & comply with the company’s policies and local laws and regulations.
• Participate in compliance & controls audits and respond to audit queries.
• Drive local process improvement initiatives and support regional initiatives.
• Develop KPIs & ensure they are met on time and with accuracy.
• Have a working knowledge of withholding taxes/ sales tax on services.
• Able to deliver quality output while meeting timelines.
• Lead team members through knowledge transfer, experience, and best practices thereby ensuring quality output.
• Operationally performing activities as well as supporting and leading a small team of accountants.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

• ACCA / Chartered Accountant (finalist) with 4 – 5 years of experience
• Proficient in using SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
