Role accountabilities

  • Provide a full credit management service, making sure all credit decisions are taken with a complete understanding of the risk attached.
  • Credit decision maker in accordance with DoA.
  • Manage commercial risk arising from goods delivered and/or services rendered to our customers (credit limits, blocked order release, action on overdue) and coordinate all measures to reduce risk exposures.
  • Provide information and reporting (including KPIs, BDDP and write-offs)
  • Apply the standard credit management processes based on the Global Trade Finance Credit Management Policy
  • Define the risk strategy for the extensive and strategic customers in the country / territory / cluster
  • Ensure smooth customer process flow
  • Play the "watchdog role" in respect of all potential commercial risks with third parties / customers in a country / territory / cluster, observing critical market developments and highlighting potential risks
  • Act as the "Center of Competence" for Trade Finance Credit Management in a country / territory / cluster, being responsible for the operational excellence of the credit management processes and ensuring full compliance of those processes.
  • The Country Credit Analyst acts as coordinator with functional lead between the local credit management organization and the "outsourced" partner for all operational Accounts Receivable activities
  • The Country Credit Analyst financial authorizations are defined in the local Delegation of Authorities (DoA) matrix reflecting the segregation of duties (SoD) between the Credit Analyst and the Finance Lead.
  • Coordinator of the local Credit Committee and facilitator of escalation processes towards regional management

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

  • Good communication skills, both internally and with customers
  • Ability to manage remote stakeholders in other countries and cross border support
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements and key ratios, and their meanings to creditworthiness of customers
  • Understanding of risk mitigation tools in the country
  • Knowledge of the country’s economics and the general business environment
  • Good knowledge of the company’s ERP system (SAP); knowledge of FSCM is preferential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in credit management
  • Country Language (fluent) and English (operational level) required
  • Bachelor's education level
  • Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams and to work in a matrix and international environment
  • Attention to detail and administrative tasks
  • Independence and integrity
