Role Purpose

Please note: The territory for this position is Hawaii & California north to Washington and West to Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico.  The preferred support location for the role is in the California area.

To support this challenge, Syngenta’s Professional Solutions Team is currently seeking a Technical Services Representative, Professional Turf & Ornamental Management in our Western region. This role will provide technical support to sales, marketing, and development efforts for the Syngenta Professional Solutions Professional Turf & Ornamental Management business.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the technical support of registered Syngenta Professional Solutions Turf Management (golf and lawn care) & Ornamental Management (Greenhouse & Nursery) product portfolio within US market (assigned territory)
  • Accountable for planning & coordination of internal or external product support research in alignment with SYN product strategies
  • Provide technical support related to any kind of product promotion (lectures/ ads/ turf & ornamentals programs/web/ etc.)
  • In alignment with other functions represent Syngenta in key business-related   associations/ research institutions etc.
  • Conduct product support research
  • Coordinate with internal functions such as Field Development/ Product Biology, Marketing and Sales for Syngenta Professional Solutions Turf & Ornamental Management.
  • Review label DFU’s, data analysis, summaries, presentations, and training

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree is required (Ph.D. degree is preferred) in Plant Pathology, Entomology, Weed Science, Horticulture, Agronomy or related science.
  • Thorough knowledge of turf & ornamental disease, insect and weed control with a minimum of 3 years of experience in turf & ornamental management control strategies.
  • Knowledge of Turf & ornamental management control strategies
  • Must be authorized to work for Syngenta in the United States without work authorization sponsorship
  • Up to 35% travel is required for this position
