At Syngenta, we believe every employee has a role to play in safely feeding the world and taking care of our planet. To support that challenge, the Vegetable Seeds Sales team is seeking a Technical Sales Representative in South Ontario. 
 
This is a remote position that is based in Leamington, ON, or Kingsville, ON, Canada (South Ontario).
 
What will you do:

  • Direct or correspondent responsibility for the management of the client's account and customer service throughout the assigned area.
  • Reach the sales budget for the assigned area.
  • Identify the growth potential of key customers.
  • Identify and exploit new business opportunities within the assigned area.
  • Develop a network of local influencers for recommendations and anticipate changes in the market.
  • Forecasting of product sales, market demands and market trends within the assigned area.
  • Generate demand in the field through a plan that includes tests, field days and training with local growers and technicians.
  • Constant communication with the customer service to verify inventories and the distribution of products in order to guarantee timely delivery to customers

Qualifications

What sets you apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Science and/or Business
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • High-tech greenhouse growing relevant experience.
  • Intermediate/advanced management of MS Office (Excel).
  • Knowledge and experience with the role’s main crops: tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers.
