Job description

Role purpose

  • The Technical Sales Representative for Vegetable Seeds – S.Upper Egypt region will be responsible for promoting the company's portfolio of vegetable seeds to dealers, wholesalers, large nurseries, and partners. This role involves a combination of sales acumen and technical expertise in horticulture/agriculture to provide customers with tailored solutions that enhance crop performance and yield.

Accountabilities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships in the assigned territory.
  • Deliver detailed technical advice on vegetable seed varieties, cultivation practices, and crop management to optimize customer success.
  • Drive sales through making compelling presentations and demonstrations to illustrate the benefits and value of the company's seed offerings.
  • Identify opportunities within his region in Egypt and incorporate into the growth and development of the company in export and specialist market.
  • Generate customer demand for VEG seeds relevant to the assigned geography of responsibility to support the commercial team in achieving or exceeding their sales VEG SE targets.
  • Identifies customer needs and will identify resources to ensure successful outcome.
  • Ensure demo field trials are executed and visited by customers for pre-commercial and commercial varieties in alignment with campaign plans.
  • Provides feedback from Demo trials to the R&D trialing officer.
  • Oversee the performance of the pipeline with Trialing officers and the Product manager by regular visits.
  • Support new product launches, execute the campaigns by delivering the key messages and promo materials to customers.
  • Be the technical reference for the assigned VEG crops: provide technical support on varieties to customers and CU sales team + Key account manager (trial visits, presentation, and technical document).
  • Provide agronomic solutions & advice to the customers and prospects.
  • Collect market/competitor information (market intelligence) and information on varieties performance and provide them to Sales manager, Key account manager and Product managers required for the commercial success.
  • Handle the technical side of the customer’s complaints and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Highly sales skills with passion for Veg seeds sales.
  • Technical/Market knowledge of the Veg Seeds in Export and specialist market.
  • Demand generation at grower level.
  • Passionate about agriculture and helping growers succeed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environments.

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge and experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
  • Proven sales experience in the agriculture industry, preferably in vegetable seeds 5-7 years.
  • Some marketing experience could be a plus.
  • Strong understanding of vegetable crop production and agronomy.
  • Good knowledge of the Vegetables Seeds market and customer needs
  • Basic  to intermediate English language

  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

 Work Environment:

  • Field-based position with frequent travel to customer sites.
  • Office work for planning and reporting activities.
  • Participation in outdoor field activities, which may occur in various weather conditions.
