ROLE PURPOSE
•Lead, deliver and support the future and existing Seedcare portfolio
•To ensure a consolidated summary of the technical data across the countries into technical launch plans, supporting new product introductions 
•Act as Seedcare CPD Business Partner in Regional, Global and BU Teams

ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Plan, coordinate, execute and lead Seedcare projects from early stage through development and launch activities and support PLCM activities in AME
•Accountable at BU level for selected active ingredients as the technical business partner to support the AME Seedcare Marketing Lead 
•Ensure BU technical needs are fully factored into AME development projects from the start
•Through a good understanding of the Seedcare products application methods and treated seed quality controls, contribute to the development of Seedcare PAS(Product-Application-Services)
•Participate in GAP definition and solution development through understanding of market evolution and competitor analysis
•Ensure good stewardship practices are implemented in accordance with the above PAS and GAP principles
•Own use recommendations of all Seedcare Labels
•Be an active member of the AME Seedcare Leadership Team
•Represent field development in Project Management Teams, e.g. BUPT
•Support in country TL’s, Regulatory and CU with aspects like training, recommendations, technical leaflets, data, etc. when required  
•Provide complete transparency of trial plans and CPD costs in relevant systems 
Ensure that all operations under direct control comply with Syngenta Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and guidelines as well as any other relevant Syngenta or statutory policies


Qualifications

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS AND  KEY CHALLENGES  
•Ability to provide technical strategic input. 
•Ability to deliver outputs working across a complex range of interfaces
•Ability to maintain standards and technical integrity
•Close interfaces with BU Project and Portfolio teams, to keep market intimacy and to develop an effective network
•Ensure biological elements of projects are kept on their critical paths and are delivered on time and efficiently

o    Seedcare Institute colleagues 
o    AME Project management
o    Global and Regional Product Biology
o    BU Portfolio and Regulatory teams
o    Technical Leads and Field Scientists

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Critical Knowledge
•Agronomist/Crop protection engineer with strong technical background 
•Very good understanding of technical and market aspects
•Seed applied technologies (seed treatments, polymers, inoculants), seed biology
•In-depth knowledge of the technical properties of Syngenta and competitor products and associated technologies
•Understand trialling, protocol design and statistical analysis
•Leadership and Teamwork in a multicultural environment

Critical Skills
•Excellent networking capabilities 
•Strong technical communication
•Strong verbal and written English.  Arabic/French/Turkish/Persian will be an added advantage 

Critical Experience
•Experience in the implementation, management and analysis of field trials
•Experience in managing development projects
•Preferably a M.Sc. degree or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in crop protection or related field
•Proven track record in a research/development environment 
•Experience in practical field execution of trial work
