To support that opportunity, Syngenta’s Commercial Marketing Team is currently seeking a Biologicals Technical Product Marketing Lead in Greensboro, NC.

As a Biologicals Technical Product Lead, you will work closely to support marketing campaign and agronomy teams and provide technical leadership in the development of cross-functional processes and systems that will deliver excellent brands.

Accountabilities:

  • Thoroughly profile products and brands for utility and competitive advantages.
  • Provide product training and/or materials for training to internal/external customers as well as support Product Marketing by designing brands that have technical integrity in performance, positioning and sustainability.
  • Set priorities for product development and manage a development budget and projects for timely delivery.
  • Partner with Commercial Product Leads to ensure effective implementation of biological product strategies.
  • Work closely to support marketing campaign and agronomy teams and provide technical leadership in the development of cross-functional processes and systems that will deliver excellent brands.
  • Technically steward products across life cycle.
  • Interface with other technical groups (Product Biology, CP Development, SPS, Technical Services).
  • Develop protocols and scientific studies for thorough profiling of product concepts, product segmentation, and competitive comparisons.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum M.S. degree in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Entomology, or other relevant discipline (a Ph.D. degree is highly desirable).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development.
  • Basic knowledge in plant pathology or entomology; good working knowledge/experience in agronomics/plant sciences.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship support from Syngenta.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of core agronomic factors in key field crops, including corn, cotton, rice, peanuts, sorghum and vegetables.
  • Broad knowledge of product development process, protocol writing, information systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of product strategies development and implementation. 
  • Understanding of agriculture, marketplace dynamics, competitive environment, and customer needs.
  • Ability to analyze data and interpret for decision making, identifying opportunities, and supporting communications.
