Job description

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in our dynamic Supply Chain Planning team in Manchester? We are seeking a talented Supply Chain Planner to ensure seamless global distribution of our Europe-produced portfolio, guaranteeing on-time deliveries to our valued customers. Responsibilities/Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Creating optimized plans that best balance the demand and supply of your product portfolio.
  • Coordinating all different interactions to identify and manage the challenges and opportunities to ensure our customers receive the product when and where they need it.
  • Forging strong partnerships with manufacturing assets and third-party suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaboration with the wider team to drive continuous improvements and providing support to Supply Chain operation managers as needed.
  • Utilising SAP/APO to optimise processes and act as an operational consultant, driving sustainable continuous improvement.
  • Championing customer-centricity across the supply chains under your influence.

 

Qualifications and required experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Science or Engineering.
  • Understanding of manufacturing environments, MRP, underpinned by solid experience within a Supply Planning environment.
  • Understanding of what it takes to deliver successful NPIs.
  • System knowledge of SAP, APO is essential and Qlik, Smartsheet, SNP & rough cut capacity desirable
  • Excellent communication skills across all stakeholder levels, including customers, and ability to effectively manage suppliers and 3rd parties.
  • Strong sense of urgency and energy combined with good prioritization skills.
  • Ability to translate system figures and market insights into workable plans.
  • Ability to dynamically step into challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Site Details

The role is based in our Global Operations Centre in Didsbury, near Manchester. This is a hybrid contract, with a minimum 2 days per week to be worked in the office, with remote working available for the remainder of the week (for the first few months, there will be a requirement to spend up to 3 days per week onsite). The site is a local hub for worldwide operations, ensuring growers, globally, have access to the right product at the right time. You will find a dynamic and agile working environment, with a diverse and inclusive culture.

 

What we offer

  • Base salary between £45k and £55k per annum, depending on experience.
