We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Lead for our Golden Harvest Seeds team in Slater, IA.  As the Supply Chain Lead, you will aid in improving demand plan forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias through data insights at the local level, driving both financial forecasts and supply chain production schedules.


You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:

  • Serving as the single source of contact/information for Regional Production & Supply and Demand Management (Product Planning) for the Allocation Process.
  • Owning and executing the process to generate a consistent and robust allocation plan and process supporting the company’s P&S processes and financial reporting.
  • Driving implementation and management of Allocation Process improvements and stakeholder development within and across the Brands and Commercial Units.

Accountabilities 

  • Set constraints through management of allocations to maximize sales while minimizing risk of cutting or substituting customer orders. 
  • Ensure effective and efficient execution through agreed Supply Planning and Logistics ways-of-working
  • Support SPL manager to develop and deliver insights to the SE Leadership Team, SE Planning & Execution decision body and Operational decision body. 
  • Assist in the implementation of Sales plan via the Anaplan tool
  • Lead and drive change via the IBP process
  • Coordinate collaboration between Sales, Marketing and Finance to build and agree on allocation process

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Agronomy, Engineering, Business or related functions (MS preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience with data analysis and preparation, including experience with very large data sets
  • Strong business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands.
  • General sales, marketing and technical skills; Supply and/or Planning knowledge, product lines awareness; knowledge of customers and distribution channels; previous seed experience a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite capabilities (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • High-functioning communications skills (both verbal and written); ability to interface with senior leadership

Preferred Requirements

  • Have understanding of Syngenta products and internal Syngenta systems.
  • Ability to influence others with strategic vision and confidence
