Role Purpose

  • To lead Demand Management & Planning processes for Turkey, Middle East, CAU: to connect interdepartmental information and data to drive informed business decisions.
  • To coordinate the Supply activities, cooperating with other Supply functions (Planning, Production, Customer Service, ELOM, Logistic), making sure that adequate capabilities, processes and resources are in place to ensure smooth E2E delivery of seeds products and services in an efficient and compliant way to Customers.
  • ­­To coordinate an effective and efficient S&OP process in collaboration with Commercial, Marketing, and other functions and facilitate best practices processes and systems implementation. 

Accountabilities

Demand management and Sales & Operations Planning

  • Coordinate forecasting and demand planning process with the relevant functions.
  • Monitor and analyse allocations, Supply Plans, out of cycle variations, previous plan variances, possible opportunities, quality information and any other element instrumental for the demand process and provide visibility about them through regular and ad hoc meetings and reports.
  • Follow up of customer orders, monitoring upsides and downsides by material and the adherence to the demand and supply plan.
  • Monitor inventory (e.g. slow movers)
  • Highlights risk for demand & supply imbalances (gap exposure and gap closure).
  • Proactively propose solutions to solve possible constraints.
  • Facilitate the decision and manage the communication process surrounding demand and constraints.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of what if scenarios to resolve demand/supply imbalances.
  • Ensure the alignment with Planning to implement possible solutions to constraints.
  • Influences the development of a collaborative/consensus forecast.
  • Act as the main point of contact between Planning and Commercial functions and ensure and effective cross-functional communication.
  • Develop, implement and update demand plan / replenishment plan based on the output from the S&OP/BPR/forecast process using Syngenta planning systems (IBP, Webbuss)
  • Provide KPI’s for Sales forecasting and demand planning (accuracy and variability).
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Sales & Operations processes. Partners closely with key Business Functions to validate forecast accuracy and methodology and align financial/business plans with the operations plans, through the S&OP process.
  • Prepares and conducts pre -SS&OP/BPR meetings, providing visibility on all the relevant data to ensure informed business decisions.
  • Ensure the communication, the cross-functional involvement and the execution of the actions accordingly to the pre-S&OP/BPR  outcome.

Supply

  • Ensure an effective and efficient seeds demand planning and replenishment activities, managing products planning and purchase cycle with the Regional and  Global Supply network.
  • Monitor the supply availability and quality in the plants and in the local warehouse.
  • Create POs, STOs according to the demand and the S&OP outcome, in order to have products available for sales on time. 
  • Coordinate with relevant functions to ensure an on time and efficient supply of goods in local warehouses or at Customers (e.g. direct deliveries)
  • Inform other functions, e.g. Customer service, Logistics, Commercial & Marketing of latest products availability status, including any variances versus previous state (delays, quality issues).
  • Contribute to the inventory management (e.g. in season monitoring, write off, annual inventory)
  • Ensure the application of the company’s commitments in the areas of HSEQ and report P&S, primary logistic, quality non-conformity cases to Reliance system

Cross-functionals supply activities

  • Coordinate logistic related actions, such as management of logistic provider contract, monitoring of costs, creation of POs, invoices checking and approval.
  • Organize end of season return in cooperation with Customer Service and Logistic.
  • Coordinate ICF control in cooperation with Logistic, Customer Service and Finance.
  • Cooperate with Customer Service providing visibility of current and future goods availability, contributing to the Customers’ complain process, supporting the Royalties process.
  • Validate and approve specific requests (e.g. batch selection, returns, transfers) and coordinate the execution cross-functionally
  • Contribute to the annual and long-term forecasting and budgeting processes, providing all the relevant Supply information and data.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly ICF control.
  • Be responsible for the Supply Chain budget and costs, including elaboration of annual budget, monthly updates, rolling forecast of the year in cooperation with Finance functions.
  • Be responsible for the material master data (cost set up checking, new material creation)
  • Ensure correct labelling according to regulatory prescription and marketing needs
  • Ensure that all the fiscal and legal requirements of the country (taxation, registration, labelling, environmental protection etc.) are met and that all corporate policies are well understood and implemented.
