• Manage contract and commercial operations for a panel of IT services suppliers.
• To understand, govern and execute the role of product owner for tools deployed for commercial operations, such as; the processing of supplier statements of work (SOWs) through ServiceNow, the administering of purchase orders and invoices within SAP Ariba or the management of supplier timesheets within a portal.
• Generate continuous improvement ideas to automate day-to-day operational tasks in order to bring efficiency for both Syngenta and our suppliers.
• Support the wider Supplier Management team in the execution and embedding of the Syngenta’s supplier performance and contract management strategy.
• Deploy strategies to effectively manage individual suppliers of multiple services to ensure cost efficient, end-to-end service delivery that adds value to Syngenta and its internal stakeholders.
• Manage and ensure correct contracting of IT services and alignment with the global sourcing strategy and existing master agreements with suppliers.
• In collaboration with the global Supplier Management group, implement new or improved contract management processes.
• Maintain an efficient repository of contractual correspondence

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of contract management/administration experience in a corporate or legal environment and ideally maintaining contract databases
•Experience of working within a procurement/sourcing/commercial/supplier management team.
•Well versed on procurement processes (competitive processes, purchasing, negotiations)
•Ability to gather and interpret relevant market intelligence that will support the senior Syngenta IT leadership team and the global Supplier Management team to anticipate risks and opportunities with our strategic and critical suppliers
•Good understanding of standard contractual terms and ability explain the practical applications of such terms in our supplier relationships
•Self-starting, innovative mindset with reasonable exposure to automation within supply chain, commercial operations and/or contract management.
•As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to internal stakeholders in contracting practices and procedures
•Strong verbal and written English and excellent interpersonal communications skills.
•Ability to interact comfortably with senior managers in both a technical and non-technical manner.
•Ability to manage a high volume of communication with internal business colleagues and vendors
•Capable of adjusting communication style and ways of working to accommodate varying needs of colleagues and suppliers located across the globe
