As a Strategic Data Insights and Modeling Team Lead, you would be responsible for leading a team that utilizes advanced data analysis techniques to provide valuable insights for strategic business decisions. Your role involves:
- Lead and develop a team of 4-6 members, including data scientists and analysts.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of sophisticated models to analyze complex data sets, extract meaningful patterns, and translate them into actionable recommendations for the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the models and various funding and budget scenarios align with business objectives and play a pivotal role in communicating the findings and insights to senior management, enabling informed decision-making.
- Provide strategic direction for modeling initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement to drive business performance.
- Perform site footprint and capacity analysis to support both short-term and long-term planning.
- Utilize SQL, Python, R, and cloud-based platforms for data analysis, modeling, and scenario planning.

Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior-level role within data science, analytics, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in coding, data science, statistics, and financial analysis.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Proven ability to balance technical and managerial responsibilities effectively.
- Experience in managing modeling projects, ensuring they adhere to best practices, quality standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and remote environment.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities with experience influencing major business decisions.
Preferred:
- Experience in agricultural R&D and/or biotech.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
