1. Role Purpose:

  • Enable the safe use of our products and solutions by developing, implementing and monitoring stewardship plans that consider product properties, human and environmental safety.
  • Lead and implement stewardship activities in collaboration with Sales team to ensure FTO of CP products (special focus on others which may have FTO issues; and safe use of CP products on fruits and vegetables).
  • Support to maintain & keep Syngenta CP products and solutions well viabilities in the market by concerning of their properties, human safety and environmental safety as a whole.
  • Manage stewardship activity at the country level and representing company at CropLife Vietnam Stewardship working group.
  • Cooperate with CP Regulatory to liaise with Government / Regulatory Authorities and Non Government Organizations to ensure appropriate representation of the company position regarding stewardship & to support the policy advocacy.
  • Lead the workstreams with value chain partnership and other partners, as assigned by BS Head, to support Syngenta’s business in general and stewardship activities in particular.

2. Accountability:

  • Creating and preparing stewardship projects, plans and strategy to ensure that the process is effective, and to allow benchmarking of stewardship activities.
  • Providing and supporting CP product knowledge and safe use trainings on pesticides to Sales/Marketing/R&D/Solution and farmers in order to handle pesticides for crop protection properly.
  • Maintain and monitoring the Adverse Health Incident reporting system, investigate poisoning cases and develop mitigation plans, engage with toxicology and other relevant medical professionals as necessary
  • Monitoring stewardship issues in collaboration with the relevant functions (CP Regulatory, Sales …).
  • Keeping the internal communication, planning tools and reporting up to date i.e. annual reporting, grower community database.
  • Managing and leading internal trainings on FAO Code of Conduct.
  • Representing Syngenta VN in CropLife VN Stewardship working group and supporting its stewardship activities.
  • Developing and maintaining high quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitating the cooperating activities with value chain partners including stewardship trainings and technical supports.
  • Being the first PIC in the implementation of MOUs between Syngenta and governmental & non-governmental partners. 
  • Supporting the policy advocacy with potential impacts on Syngenta’s FTO.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field like plant protection, agriculture or biology.
  • Good knowledge of CP products and stewardship activities, FAO Code of Conduct, and related legislation on CP management and food safety.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • 7 years experience for Agrochemical business.
  • Experience in field application, field trials of pesticides.
  • Ability to conduct and manage technical seminar.
  • Experience in CP product knowledge and practical training; and pesticide safe use training
  • Ability to demonstrate a good attention to the details
  • Good communication, influencing and interpersonal skills in local language and English
  • Ability to work through one’s own efforts, independently
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Communicates with impact - Gains commitment of individuals and stakeholders in a compelling way.
  • Focuses on customers - Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
