Stakeholder Engagement Manager

Purpose:

Support Head CEO, Executive & Thought Leadership Comms (ETL) to ensure consistent and effective executive messaging – CEO and Global Leadership Team (GLT) speak with one voice and are recognized as a team of Thought Leaders

Accountabilities:

• Ensure that CEO and other Executives are briefed for high level speaking opportunities, key stakeholder engagements, trips and customer/field visits, have the right information at the right time, and are equipped to communicate and engage with impact and aligned messages
• Prepare, manage, and deliver executive briefs, talking points, key messages for engagements with broad range of stakeholders (Syngenta Group teams, industry partners, governments, NGO’s, academia, media, etc.) - in close collaboration with the business units and regions, functions and especially Business Sustainability/Public Affairs
• Ensure that briefs, engagements, and messaging are aligned with a broad range of internal stakeholders, especially in the business and regions, and across all communications channels and teams (primarily Media Relations, Social Media and Internal Comms)
• Support and facilitate content creation together with Executive Communications Manager and others that supports the business and positions SG as a Thought Leader in the ag industry
• Monitor and inform Head ETL about topics, trends and risks relevant to the CEO and GLT

• Extensive experience in business development, public affairs, politics, media relations
• Experience and ability to work effectively in a big complex international cooperation or organization
• Experience in written communications with a proven track record
• Excellent skills in PowerPoint, other project management tools are welcome
• Experience in working with senior stakeholders, excellent partnership/ stakeholder management skills
• Experience in Stakeholder Management – developing and aligning complex briefings for and hand-on support with implementation of high-level engagements
• Highly collaborative
• A native English speaker or a comparable level of English, oral and written; any additional language, in particular Chinese or German will be considered an asset
• Availability to travel for role ~30% globally
