The purpose of a Staff DevOps and SRE engineer is to foster the collaboration and integration between development teams enhancing the software development lifecycle and ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of software products. Working towards ensuring high system reliability by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust monitoring and alerting systems. And proactively identify and resolve potential issues, perform incident response, and conduct post-incident analysis to prevent future occurrences.
The main accountabilities of this role will be:
- Facilitate the coordination of DevOps and SRE projects across various locations, including Europe, India, the United States, and Brazil.
- Design, build and coordinate the implementation and optimization of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines. Automating and streamlining the software release process, reducing time-to-market and improving software quality.
- Manage cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, high availability, and cost optimization Leveraging cloud services and technologies to build resilient and elastic architectures.
- Ensure high system reliability by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust monitoring and alerting systems.
- Collaborate closely with global distributed development teams, and other stakeholders to foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement. Sharing expertise, providing guidance on best practices, and help teams adopt SRE principles and methodologies.
- Participate in incident retrospectives, conduct blameless post-mortems, and contribute to the evolution of processes, tools, and practices to enhance system reliability.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 6 years specifically in the field of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Previous hands-on experience working with observability tools, AWS (Amazon Web Services), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience running and operating highly distributed applications
- Solid understanding and knowledge of DevOps practices
- Great programming skills in Python and Go
