The Order Management department seeks a motivated and enthusiastic candidate for a full-time position of:

Order Manager

  • Type:                                     Permanent
  • Business Unit:                Vegetables
  • Department:                    Planning & Operations SSV
  • Location:                            Enkhuizen

Into action

In this role you are responsible for a timely management of delivering vegetables seeds to the designated country, outside Europe. You export the seeds to Syngenta identities or directly to the customer. To succeed this task, you cooperate with all the involved departments, using your high communication skills. Besides the execution of your daily operational activities, you play a proactive role in continuous improvement of the processes.

The challenge

Never a dull moment in your life as an Order Manager! An Order Manager acts as the primary contact for order handling to customers and colleagues of Syngenta entities worldwide. You are the key player for a full delivery in time. During the order process you consider every next step with care and communicate actively and clear with all the involved departments. By prioritizing the next steps, keeping a cool head, you will be handling several orders at the same time without losing the overview. You make sure all relevant data is administered properly by using the supporting tools and applications correctly. An Order Manager understands the business and culture of the territory. The main focus is the customer, but you are aware of the internal rules and regulations and respect these.

Always up for a challenge? The requirements and restrictions to export vegetables seeds change often over time. So, the solution you've found yesterday, might not be useful today. The challenge is to solve the puzzles, collaborate with all the Production and Supply departments and deliver the seeds in time! Besides this you identify possible bottlenecks and inefficiencies as part of the continuous improvement responsibility.

Qualifications

Your profile

You have a few years of experience in a logistic function in a Customer Service/Order Management role (preferably in a seed company). You have the administration knowledge or an educational background in exporting goods outside Europe. You have user knowledge of MS Office and SAP environments. You are fluent in both English and Dutch. You are a strong communicator, pro-active and able to establish outstanding working relations. You are stress tolerant and know how to deal with delivery issues. You are constantly looking for improvement steps to maintain a reliable partnership with your colleagues and stakeholders.
