The North America Seeds Product Placement Manager is responsible for leading the strategic placement and lifecycle management of seed products across North America. This role requires a combination of agronomic expertise, market insight, and leadership skills to ensure our soybean portfolio is optimally positioned to meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product placement strategy for the soybean seed portfolio, ensuring alignment with market needs and business objectives.
  • Lead the analysis of field trial data and collaborate with the R&D team to integrate product performance insights into product placement decisions.
  • Partner with product strategy team to manage the entire lifecycle of soybean products, from introduction to phase-out, optimizing the portfolio for performance and profitability.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to provide product placement guidance and support the development of promotional materials and sales strategies.
  • Monitor and respond to market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to refine product placement and lifecycle strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including growers, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Product Placement team, setting clear goals and expectations, and ensuring professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of digital tools and platforms that enhance product placement decision-making and customer engagement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and grower meetings, serving as a product placement expert and brand ambassador.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and stewardship guidelines related to product placement and seed treatment practices.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Breeding, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the seed industry, with a focus on soybean products.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets and translate findings into strategic actions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of modern agricultural practices, seed technology, and the competitive landscape in the soybean market.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and software relevant to agronomy and product placement.
  • Ability to travel within North America and occasionally internationally.
