Snaplogic Developer

Role purpose

ERP Integration Developer – Snaplogic will primarily be involved in development and implementation for extracting, transforming and loading data between varous systems in Syngenta’s landscape. He will be an integral member of the Syngenta’s ERP Integration Team. ERP Integration Developer - Snaplogic will:

• Ensure that ETL requirements for any proposed change is captured accurately.
• Create and take complete ownership of Low level ETL design for any requirement (Projects, Changes, etc.)
• Work in tandem with D&A and SAP team to resolve design queries related to SmartMart data ingestion. Be a focal point for all technical issues.
• Good knowledge and experience in technical estimation.
• Identify performance issues related to source system extraction and work on technical POCs in Snaplogic and any new ETL tool independently.
• Adhere to Syngenta Integration design standards.

Accountabilities

• Ensure requirements and design are fit for purpose and properly documented.
• Work with Integration DevOps team to identify root cause of major integration defects and implement POCs / CSIs for any technical  gaps.
• Be open to work in other ETL tools like SAP BODS, Informatica cloud and evaluate fitment of new tools in Syngenta’s landscape.

Critical Knowledge:  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Good working knowledge of data and ETL concepts.
• Familiarity with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other SAP applications including connectivity methods (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, etc.)
• Knowledge of various protocols such as HTTP/S, SFTP, SOAP, REST API integrations
• Well versed with Enterprise database and data warehouse concepts.
• Data modelling, data flow and workflow mapping

Knowledge on Cloud platforms Aws, Azure or Gcp is a plus.

• Overall 4+ years of experience in ETL space.
• 3+ years experience developing  ETL solutions using Snaplogic or similar data integration tool.
• A robust experience and knowledge of connecting to SAP ECC and other SAP applications is highly preferred.
• Experience with SAP Data Services or SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server) is a big plus.
• Experience with different File transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, SMB) and connectivity to Cloud source/target systems like Salesforce, Workday, etc is preferred.
• Good understanding of data structures and data modeling.
• Experience in a Devops or Agile work environment a plus.
• Well versed with SDLC, Change Management best practices.
• Experience in SAP, S4Hana Data migration project is a plus.
