  • Bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees based on schedule and supervisor input
  • Provide overtime, headcount and vacation reports to plant staff to ensure plant is staying on budget and employees are taking vacation.
  • Ensure the accurate development and maintenance of all standard product costs for Omaha site
  • Participate in the control of the Omaha costs by providing management with effective cost analyses utilizing comparisons of actual performance to standards and budgets
  • Review and report on monthly raw material efficiency variances (VPC)
  • Perform relevant cost analyses as required using budget versus actual comparisons or historical data
  • Provide support for cycle counting and annual physical audit and implement resolutions to any related findings
  • Perform accurate and timely month-end close activities and serve as back-up for other month-end functions
  • Support fixed cost analyses and reconciliations as required
  • Support documenting finance processes at the Omaha site
  • Capital project and site services purchase order and tracking support
  • Continuous Improvement financial tracking support and reporting

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field of study
  • 3 years accounting/finance experience
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, modelling, and benchmarking
  • Experience with standard financial analysis tools, i.e., NPV, risk assessment, and value creation
  • Experience with manufacturing cost accounting and working in a plant environment
  • Experience preparing company budgets
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be self-disciplined, organized, analytical and detail oriented; yet have the flexibility to prioritize to meet changing demands and to adjust quickly to new tasks
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills with a customer/quality focus
  • Knowledge of SAP

The Site Payroll Analyst interfaces with site management staff, manufacturing accounting and corporate accounting groups in performing general, cost and auditing accounting functions to provide accurate and timely data for monthly closings, control and evaluation purposes.
