At Syngenta, we believe every employee has a role to play in safely feeding the world and taking care of our planet. To support that challenge, the Production and Supply team is currently seeking a Site Operations Specialist 2 located in Waterloo, NE.

Responsibilities

The Site Operations Specialist 2 individually performs a broad range of administrative support for the plant and participates in AP/AR and payments. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing administrative tasks, managing the multiplication orders process, serving as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and employees. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to provide excellent customer service skills.

Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and manage administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, and data entry.
  • Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Support, execute and track settlements, orders, contracts, payments, purchase orders
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Provide general administrative support to the site as needed including on-site meetings and events.
  • Prepare and process various documents such as purchase orders, shipping documents, and invoices.
  • Support and coordinates employee / site engagement activities
  • Ensure site is stocked with essentials (materials, supplies, etc.) for doing business.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain compliance with site HSE protocols and Syngenta HSE policies and employee code of conduct.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and basic knowledge of accounts payable software.
  • Understanding of professional etiquette and office protocols
  • Capable of working and supporting others in a team environment
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours as necessary
  • Critical Success Factors & Key Challenges:
  • Ability to provide support to visitors, vendors, and colleagues in professional manner
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle office tasks, such as scheduling, calendar management, and travel arrangements
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage workload
