We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SFDC solution designer / Sr. developer with a strong technical background, proficiency in frontend development to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, coupled with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions that work seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement Salesforce customizations, as well as contribute to frontend development efforts for cross-platform applications.

 Accountabilities.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements for Salesforce implementations.
  • Design and configure Salesforce solutions to meet business needs, leveraging declarative customization tools and, when necessary, coding.
  • Develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other relevant technologies.
  • Contribute to frontend development efforts using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Develop cross-platform applications that work seamlessly on laptop browsers, tablet screens, and mobile phones, utilizing responsive design principles and frameworks.
  • Conduct thorough testing of Salesforce configurations, customizations, frontend components, and cross-platform applications to ensure high quality and reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the development team, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Assist in data migration and integration activities as part of Salesforce implementation projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, and Salesforce Certified Administrator are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in Salesforce configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and declarative customization tools.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce development using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other relevant technologies.
  • Experience with frontend development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Angular, with a focus on cross-platform compatibility.
  • Expertise in developing cross-platform applications with responsive design principles and frameworks to ensure seamless functionality across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Additional Information

Site Details

The role is based in our Global Operations Centre in Didsbury, near Manchester. This is a hybrid contract, with a minimum 2 days per week to be worked in the office, with remote working available for the remainder of the week (for the first few months, there may be a requirement to spend up to 3 days per week onsite). The site is a local hub for worldwide operations, ensuring growers, globally, have access to the right product at the right time. You will find a dynamic and agile working environment, with a diverse and inclusive culture.
