As a  Senior Chemical/Process Engineer in the Manufacturing Excellence team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling our production sites to meet our customer demands in the safest, most efficient, and sustainable way possible. You will be the hub in an international network of chemists, engineers, production sites, and supply chain professionals. You will work in a dynamic team collaborating with process technology teams from our network of formulation sites, corporate functions and with many other colleagues across Europe and elsewhere. Your location, close to our headquarters in the north of Switzerland, provides exciting career perspectives, fantastic opportunities for leisure activities and an attractive salary.

  • Supplying investment projects with process technology and engineering know-how, through concept development, option review, detailed design and commissioning phases
  • Acting as the technology business partner to our manufacturing sites in Europe as well as other functions such as product siting, supply chain management and engineering
  • Providing hands-on technical expertise in the transfer of products from one manufacturing sites to another and subsequent optimization
  • Proactively identifying and implementing opportunities to improve the safety, sustainability, and efficiency of our processes
  • Efficiently linking our production sites to the right R&D capabilities when appropriate to drive process improvements and resolution of complex issues
  • Defining and sharing process technology best practice including new technology solutions.

Qualifications

  • You have a BSc, MSc or PhD in chemical engineering or a related discipline.
  • You bring a solid understanding of broad chemical engineering principles and unit operations ideally in combination with experience in lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
  • You thrive working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and highly international environment. 
  • You’re curious, pro-active and a very strong team-worker, with excellent communication and influencing skills and the capacity to work independently.
  • You’re fluent in English. Additional languages are always an advantage in our global business environment.
  • You bring several years of experience in a production environment or associated support functions, e.g., process development/design, maintenance, commissioning, plant design, etc. Experience in the world of formulation is particularly valued.
  • You know that nothing beats a face-to-face meeting to truly connect, and that supporting a manufacturing operation will demand you to be there when it happens, where it happens. Travelling (up to 50%) also outside regular working days, is part of the job.
