Senior Process Engineer

As Senior Process Engineer you are providing the formulation engineering capability for a portfolio of development and manufacturing support projects and delivers the robust scale-up of formulation manufacturing processes from laboratory through to full-scale manufacture.

• Leads technology transfer teams for inter-regional transfer or re-siting of products  and is the technical lead in product establishment teams, and a member of the technical start-up team for new processes and equipment at Syngenta manufacturing sites or tollers
• Recognized as having specialist technical expertise in formulation engineering processing
• Designs pilot plant trials and full-scale manufacturing trials - writes operating procedures, trains operating team, provides technical supervision, documents the outcomes and identifies next steps
• Generates the process design for Crop Protection capital projects
• Supports the scale-up of formulation processes from lab to full-scale manufacturing
• Applies formulation engineering processing expertise in order to identify solutions that improve capacity, quality, and cost efficiency at manufacturing sites and is a member of the project teams that implement these solutions

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry or equivalent professional qualification and/or relevant experience.
• Many years of relevant experience gained in process development, manufacturing support in chemical engineering or a closely related subject.
• Knowledge of practical engineering -and maintenance activities
• Strong and clear communicator
• Strong networker, able to build and foster trusting and productive relations
• Creates an environment that supports creativity, transparency, and challenge and coaches people to spark innovation
• Fluent in English, ideally strong German any other language are an asset
