Senior Process Chemist

You will join our Process Technology Department in Huddersfield within UK Production and Supply. You will build on your existing experience in manufacturing support and process development as well as accessing formal training and individual coaching to progress your career to the next level and beyond. 

You will be working on key projects – and making a real impact – from day one. That could involve anything from shaping and implementing HSE and processing improvements on our manufacturing facilities right through to providing high quality technical advice to colleagues. Plan and carry out chemical process development work on new and existing processes in the laboratory to meet development targets on quality, cost, operability, productivity and HSE impact. Design and implement, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, trials of process improvements on manufacturing plants. Analyse and assess the results of trials to advise on making permanent improvements to manufacturing processes.

Along the way, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to progress into a role that’s right both for you and for the business. From there, the sky’s the limit.

• Degree or PhD in Chemistry or a related subject.
• Typically, three or more years’ experience within the Chemical industry.
• Comprehensive laboratory experience gained in either an academic or industrial setting.
• Analytical thinking: Ability to break down problems, analyse data and produce solutions.
• Focus on the achievement of desired results.
• Passion to bring your knowledge and practical skills to the next level.
• Ambition to forge a career in a global company.
• Strong influencing and communication skills and a flair for team working particularly in multi-functional groups.
• An interest in data science or coding (preferred but not essential).
