We are looking for enthusiastic and quality-conscious employee for the Purity & Analytical laboratory:

Senior Analyst Purity & Analytical

Business Unit: Vegetable Seeds
department: Purity & Analytical QC Operations
Location: Enkhuizen

In action

Consumers want beautiful, fresh vegetables on their plate. Every tomato or cauliflower starts as a seed, which is why this starting material must meet high quality requirements. To ensure that we deliver what the customer asks for, we test all parties for authenticity. As our Senior Analyst you will work in a team that is specialized in performing and improving existing quality tests and introducing new tests in the Purity & Analytical laboratory. The group is part of the Quality Control (QC Operations) department, which has three labs: Seed Health, Purity & Analytical and Germination.

The challenge

Syngenta's customers - farmers and market gardeners all over the world - want to be sure of a reliable product. A well-functioning quality control is therefore essential for the company. As a Senior analyst at QC Purity & Analytical, you and your colleagues ensure the timely and accurate execution of a wide variety of tests. Accurate processing of the results is of course part of your job. The lab is authorized, which means that we test according to legal standards. It is therefore very important that we always monitor our working methods and together proactively look for possible process improvements. It is precisely this act of high standards that makes a job at this lab very enjoyable and challenging.

Qualifications

Your profile

As a Senior Analyst you work at HLO level. You have reached this level through education and preferably you also have experience. You are interested in working with vegetable and flower seeds and living material. We are looking for a candidate specialized in molecular biology technology. In your role as coordinator, you are jointly responsible for the SNP Purity lab tests. You are mainly concerned with analyzing SNP data and managing SNP databases. You also perform various lab activities to support Flow cytometry, loading test (UPLC) and the Heubach dust test. In addition, you are expected to be proactive in process optimization where you are in contact with various colleagues from different departments. To be successful in your role, you are communicative and have knowledge of Excel. It goes without saying that you are accurate and have a keen eye for quality. You feel at home in a diverse team that feels responsible for the tests performed.

Take your change!
