Role Purpose:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the regional strategy for Syngenta Professional Solutions (SPS) portfolio (in particular for Garden Control & Professional Pest Management segments).
  • Represent the business interests of Syngenta Professional Solutions (SPS) in Romania and understand the local market reporting its key trends.
  • Achieve sales targets set in alignment with the sales strategy of the company.
  • Build strong relationship with Agroshops, distributors and other stakeholders.
  • Intensity, effectiveness, and technical capabilities in the daily work using sales support tools.
  • Listening to what customers want, gathering customer insights and helping them to find the best solution for their needs in a competitive landscape.
  • Design, prepare and provide the relevant sales activities and services to support implementation of SPS campaigns and marketing strategies.
  • Contribute to campaign communication, identify appropriate channel of communication, and adapt message to the targeted audience.

Accountabilities:

  • Execute agreed sales plans achieving SPS targets set for Romania and ensure the implementation of country GTM strategy.
  • Demand generation at Agroshop / other GTM promoting Syngenta products on a strong technical basis.
  • Use sales tools to forecast and track the sales targets.
  • Build strong relationship with Agroshops and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely and collaborate with Romania Crop Protection business and local support departments to deliver technologies and effective offers/strategies ensuring alignment with regional strategies and priorities.
  • Collect and analyse market data/trends to provide insight for the further development of the business. Contribute portfolio development needs and positioning.
  • Constantly build product knowledge and deliver value added offers in engaging ways.
  • Setting up attractive product promotions at point of sales.
  • Delivering presentations and demonstrations to Agroshops and other stakeholders.
  • Engaging in meaningful interactions and building good relationships with customers.
  • Be first point of contact of complaints and show attitude of problems solving mindset.
  • Realize monthly sales targets and ensure monthly, quarterly sales forecast accuracy at optimum.
  • Respect compliance and competition law related regulations of the company demonstrating transparency and ethic during the daily work.
  • Respect safety (HSE) regulations and ethics of Syngenta code of conduct.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Agriculture / Horticulture with good technical knowledge is the preferred choice or University degree in Marketing / Business Administration or Life Sciences.
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in sales and/or marketing.
  • Previous sales experience in Agribusiness market is preferable.
  • Sales technics and competency in demand generation.
  • Computer literate (MS office fundamentals) and excellence in usage of different digital support tools.
  • Good basics and understanding of Sales / Marketing.                                       
  • Valid driving license and active driver.
  • Ability and ethics to work in multi-national and multi-task environment.
  • Good analytical and data reading skills.
  • Result and deadline oriented, self-driven motivation is a plus.
  • Sales and marketing focused, understanding of competition environment.
  • Good knowledge in communication on multiple seniority levels, good interpersonal skills, networker.
  • Ability to anticipate issues, multitasking and prioritization is essential.
  • Attitude and mind-set to work in local unit of a global organisation, work in cross functional / matrix organisation.
  • Customer oriented: insight about internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Information

  • Active travelling in Romania, some abroad travel within CU territory countries depends on need.
