Are you a pragmatic, solution focussed and driven individual with knowledge and understanding of all Health, Safety, & Environment regulations?

Would you be interested in joining a dynamic HSE team working on a complex manufacturing site focussed on our team, our ways of working and future site development so we can grow together?

We are looking for experienced Safety Leads to join our Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre. We have approximately 450 employees and we are investing in our infrastructure, ways of working and capabilities of our teams to support our site growth.

Reporting to the Safety and Environment Manager, you’ll be based on plant and working closely with the local engineering and production teams to understand and resolve issues quickly, collaboratively, and effectively. You will be accountable for delivering results against HSE performance stats and improvement plans in your area.

Qualifications

  • General knowledge of all Health, Safety, & Environment Regulations.
  • Experience working in a complex manufacturing environment and within multi-functional teams.
  • Utilise analytical thinking to interpret data and leverage tools to support data driven decision making on the areas.
  • Ability to manage their own time effectively, overseeing projects to ensure timely completion of all HSE tasks and full accountability for delivery to agreed deadlines.
  • Communicate HSE information clearly and translate technical topics into plain English for the plants.
  • Educate all areas of the plant on the importance of HSE practices, focusing on the rationale behind procedures rather than simply enforcing rules.
  • Ability to engage and interact with people from shop floor to management.

Additional Information

What we offer:

  • Salary – competitive & negotiable
  • 37.5 working hours per week Mon – Fri
  • 3.5 rota days off over Christmas + hours bank of 41 hours to use throughout the year for occasional time off.
  • Generous Holiday Entitlement of 31.5 days plus bank holiday
