Job description

Reports to Role: Business Manager Sub-Saharan Africa

Location: Mt Kenya 

Role Purpose  

Strategically

  • Responsible to develop and deliver sustainable sales growth of Professional Pest Management (PPM) portfolio within the designated sales area.
  • Creating and fostering a closer professional relationship with all potential and existing retail channel partners based on solid business principles.
  • Serve as a product expert for PPM portfolio; provide training support for retail channel partners and consumers where possible.
  • Analyze market opportunities, develop and present creative proposals in alignment with the Sub-Saharan Africa PPM Go to Market strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Provide market intelligence and market potential information in the designated sales area.
  • Monitor business performance of retail channel partners and ensure overall business targets are achieved as per the agreed business plan.
  • Interact with retail channel partners including presentation of products information and promotional materials.

Operationally

  • Support Sales & Operation Planning process by delivering accurate and timely sales forecast and sales plan for Sales Area.
  • Follow-up payment collections and ensure on-time payment from the distributors.
  • Prepare and provide weekly reports and sales analysis for business reviews as needed.

  • Implement sales execution actions to gain maximum market share within the designated sales area.
  • Develop trust as well as a solid and collaborative working relationship with retail channel partners, market influencers and other industry stakeholders.
  • Achieve/exceed quarterly and yearly revenue objectives delivered by robust sales activity plans.
  • Properly steward product portfolio by making sound recommendations to end users.
  • Collaborate with SPS Technical Manager and the Marketing Manager to implement technical support activities and marketing campaign plans

Qualifications

Knowledge , Experience & Capabilities 

Critical experience and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture or related field.
  • +2 years in field experience in sales and good technical understanding.
  • Relevant knowledge of the Professional Pest Management (PPM) market, distribution networks, customers and competitors.
  • Good Presentation skills.
  • Excellent product demonstration experience.
  • Good computer skills (MS. Office).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust with retail channel partners in the designated sales area to ensure success.
  • Good planning skills.
  • Strong sense of customer focus.
  • Demonstration of excellent sales and negotiations skills.
  • Ability to lead, be self-directed and to work as part of a team.
