Role purpose

  • Conduct off-station yield trial of Corn in the North of Thailand in Wet season and deliver high quality of trials to ensure quality data delivery to demand owners in timely manner
  • Responsible for Corn nursery activities in TF station in Dry season and ensure high quality trials, high quality seed with no contamination which meet seed target quantity

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for conducting off station yield trials and corn nurseries in TF station
  • Good planning to ensure field readiness for planting and meet standard quality
  • Ensuring planting within planting window both yield trial and nursery
  • Technology adoption by implementing SPIRIT trial mapping, FMS, TRACER, EZcapture, precision planter
  • Ensuring trait calibration before data collection
  • Ensuring required data collection at the right crop stage
  • Effective communication with demand owners (SPDs, PSL)
  • Good communication and Collaboration to support within NSPP & Trialing team
  • Take personal responsibility in HSE and support HSE activities in the station to comply country and site HSE regulations and be cooperative with HSE, prompt report all incidents/accidents/near misses and hazards to line manager/supervisor
  • Quality role and responsibility - must take personal responsibility for ensuring that they follow and put into action the Quality Policy within the scope of their role, must understand how they contribute to quality and the company quality culture, are empowered to raise concerns and make decisions in support of quality

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

  • Bachelor's or Master degree in Agriculture (agronomy or related fields)
  • Breeding knowledge background
  • Seed technology and seed production

Critical skills:

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team and individually
  • Ability to think and plan systematically
  • Ability to communicate clearly to stakeholders
  • Ability to set priorities & result orientation
  • Reporting discipline
  • Well organized
  • Good in English writing and speaking skill
  • Proficiency in MS office and proprietary systems (SPIRIT), MINT, TRACER, EZcapture
