Job description

At Syngenta, we're building a collaborative and trusted team that delivers top-notch seeds and crop protection innovations to boost farmers' prosperity. To tackle this challenge, Syngenta’s Crop Protection Regulatory Affairs Team is looking for a Regulatory Operations Specialist to work remotely for 12 months on a fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll prepare regulatory documents and submission packages for Canadian regulatory agencies to register pest control products. You'll also manage regulatory information, official regulatory files, and maintain data in regulatory systems.

Accountabilities:

  • Preparing administrative documents for regulatory submissions.
  • Compilation of documents to create regulatory submission packages.
  • Managing regulatory information and maintaining relevant databases.
  • Conducting searches for regulatory and/or scientific data and information.
  • Supporting activities related to incident reporting.

  • Ability to follow guidance documents that have been created for various tasks to allow individuals to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and task prioritization in a high-volume workload.

  • Ability to assist in quick and efficient transfer of information.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential subject matters with discretion.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities as needed by the business.

**This is a 12 month Fixed-Term contract position**

Qualifications

Required skills:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent experience in the agricultural industry or related fields.
  • Knowledge in regulatory terminology.
  • General understanding of the regulatory process and the types of data used to support pesticide registrations.
  • Equivalent experience with product labeling and/or regulatory information management is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., MS Office and Adobe Acrobat), as well as database management.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
