Role purpose 

This role will be accountable for Regional Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, governance, and operations.  This includes the initiation and development of improvements and providing training and support to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of the regional function.
•    Accountable for the strategy and approach toward managing MDM for all crops, ensuring system compliance to business and legal requirements
•    Harmonize MDM ways of working across all countries to allow for the implementation and use of common streamlined processes; ultimately aligning globally
•    Business process owner to ensure optimal governance and sustenance of MDM
•    Provide leadership and support for MDM aspects of creation and maintenance of data
•    Provide expertise to ensure end-to-end business process consistency
•    Manage end user support systems and enable team members to provide and deliver end-user training
•    Develop and facilitate continuous improvement in MDM processes 
•    Manage key stakeholders in capturing the business needs/requirements and lead change management and implementation
•    Provide expertise for MDM integration efforts for strategic projects, mergers, and acquisitions
•    Facilitate discussions for strategic MDM integration efforts

Accountabilities

  • Take personal commitment and accountability to support our HSE goal zero initiative
  • Lead Regional MDM team and ensure that operations and projects are aligned with business need and delivered to the business in a timely manner
  • Plan, organize and lead SAP improvement efforts in conjunction with key IT and business stakeholders
  • Guide business process changes and alignment
  • Maintain close communication with all strategic stakeholders; Seeds Operations LTs, OU Quality Leads, Seeds Production Research, Planning & Logistics, Business Improvement, and business stakeholders about all MDM issues
  • Support timely regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when requested by project teams
  • Ensure proper linkage and interface of MDM to other SAP business modules across Research & Development, Sales & Commercial, and Production & Supply
  • Encourage and foster collaboration across MDM network, spanning all regions and crops
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

·         BA in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or Agronomy

·         Experience leading and/or coaching small teams

·         Experience or good knowledge in quality control, planning & logistics, sales & marketing processes

  • Knowledge of Planning, Production, Conditioning, Distribution and Sales cycles
  • Experience in an international work environment; ability to deal with various and diverse cultures and work habits
  • Strong ability to understand conceptual design to link process flows with IT systems
  • Knowledge in understanding SAP tables, linkages, and transactional design
  • Fluent in English

 

Critical experience

·      Experience in a Production & supply related function (preferably in a seed company)

·      Experience with ERP system (SAP)

·       Microsoft office skills
