Role purpose / Accountabilities

  • Provide leadership for the CPFD team in the region.
  • Coordinate and deliver the Crop Protection Development trialing program assigned to the region.
  • Ensure trials conducted within the region are of high quality and produce conclusive results.
  • Manage personnel, facilities, and operating budget assigned to the region. 
  • Develop and communicate protocol and trial summaries, including technical fit and positioning recommendations within quality and timeliness standards.
  • Establish an effective partnership with the South and East Coast Sales/Commercial colleagues to ensure sales support activities, technical positioning, and key influencer support underpin the commercial strategies of the business.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of CPFD strategies to effectively deliver new active ingredients for commercialization
  • Create an environment which fosters innovation, creativity and empowerment.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

  • Ph.D. degree in an Agricultural Science preferred.
  • Crop and pest trialing practices.

Critical experience

  • Experience in crop protection and/or pest management research that demonstrates broad understanding of how to connect development opportunities and business needs.  Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and motivate staff to function as a high performing team

  • Excellent leadership, people management, teamwork and communication skills needed.  Ability to challenge the status quo and work with North American and Global colleagues to develop and implement strategic initiatives for the CPFD organization
