Job description

  • Responsible for the updating, maintenance and validation of quality master data (inspection plans, test operations, inspection characteristics, batch classifications, etc) for crops and plants in his accountability.
  • Maintains Product Quality Testing documentation including core processes, quality references, work instruction and standard operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicate batch Quality Status non-conformities to pertinent business managers, per business rules.
  • Schedule, assign and prioritize workload for data entry. Set appropriate deadlines.
  • Monitor employee performance on a day-to-day basis. Ensure timely completion of work.
  • Schedule and conduct staff meetings and individual meetings within unit to facilitate attainment of unit objectives
  • Coordinate and support the QMD in the implementation of QMS within related departments based on Syngenta Quality CoPs.
  • Assist the QMD in sitewide organization and coordination of all activities and information related to Quality Management System.
  • Document Administrator
    • Help in setting up communication and training material (for Document Management procedure) for key stakeholders;
    • Train all impacted personnel on Document Management;
    • Assist authors and department document administrator to update metadata in the Seeds Reliance DM module when necessary;
    • Ensure that document changes and current revision are maintained;
    • Maintain centralized master list of the documents being issued.
  • NC Administrator
    • Register, coordinate and verify NCs at the Seeds Reliance System.
    • Assist QMD in the monitoring of the actions from the CAPA.
  • CC Administrator
    • Support Quality Manager for the generation and extraction of customer complaints from ETQ.
  • Internal Audit Program Support
    • Helps in the preparation of annual audit plan and schedules, conduct Internal Audits, prepare audit reports and write nonconformity reports for HSES and Quality Department.
  • Resource for Training
    • Conduct training for new hires and all employees on QCoPs and key programs on QMS and HSES.
  • Global Seeds Reliance Support
  • Resolve Reliance SNOW related tickets/concerns by clarifying incidents raised, determining cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Generate and report Quality KPI
  • Complete all other duties as required to support Quality operations.
  • Ensure data accuracy/integrity for all associated quality-related information
  • Independence of judgement and integrity in relation to sampling and seed testing activities
  • ISTA training for testing quality assurance
  • Maintain competent working knowledge of quality transactions in SAP and in Seeds Reliance System
  • Analysis of data from SAP and in Seeds Reliance System
  • Working knowledge of statistical tools and data analysis
  • Work with Health Safety and Environment (HSE) regarding the identification of workplace related risks and hazards
  • Maintain effective working relationships within Seeds Quality and with stakeholders in Seed Operations, Supply, Parent Seeds and Seeds Production Research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or University in specific or technical fields of Agriculture or other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality control in seed processing or in consumer goods manufacturing
  • Possess a broad understanding of Seed Quality Control processes and Quality Management System
  • Basic principles of quality control and Principles of Quality Assurance, QMS/ISO 9000
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality control in seed processing or in consumer goods manufacturing
  • Experience in assessing a situation, identifying issues and developing solutions that result in efficiencies and/or process improvements
  • Experience with implementation of corrective and preventive action programs
  • Successfully demonstrated ability to coach others with a strong self-awareness (both strengths and opportunities) and ability to self-develop
  • Ability to adapt to change and work flexibly to overcome boundaries
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to adjust work schedule based on business requirements
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
