Job description

We are looking for a proactive Quality Lead to empower our Europe Business Units (BUs) in Production & Supply (P&S) and Marketing & Sales (M&S) Operations, including manufacturing sites. You will drive the application of quality principles to maximize value generation, align Quality Management Systems, and convert customer feedback into business opportunities. You will ensure the alignment of BU quality priorities with regional goals, drive leadership engagement, and facilitate the development of short-term quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence and drive leadership engagement in implementing the Quality Management System.
  • Support BU unit leaders in developing measurable short-term quality targets.
  • Manage and optimize the Complaint Handling Process, driving improved customer experience.
  • Facilitate resolution of major quality issues and actively participate in Quality Management activities.
  • Actively contribute to the regional quality audit program and serve as an active member of the Quality Management community.
  • Support Quality Managers on the manufacturing sites.

Qualifications and required experience

  • Extensive experience within the Quality space, with solid knowledge of quality management principles & methodologies.
  • Quality Auditor (ISO 9001 auditor certification or equivalent).
  • Solid Project Management and Change Management experience within a multicultural and matrix organisation.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills at different levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent grasp of the English language; French, German or any other European languages would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of agro-chemical industry or biotechnology industry is preferable.

Additional Information

The preference is for the role to be based in Manchester (UK), but certain European locations near a Syngenta office, in a time zone that is within a two-hour range of CET (Central European Time) can be considered.
