Public Relations Manager

This position holder will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic PR initiatives that enhance Syngenta's reputation, communicate our values, and support our business objectives in the agricultural sector.

Accountabilities

1. Strategic Communication Management:
   • Architect and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligning with Syngenta's global vision and local market dynamics
   • Orchestrate consistent messaging across all channels through effective stakeholder coordination
   • Craft engaging content for diverse communication materials, including press releases, official statements, and executive speeches
2. Internal Engagement and Alignment
   • Spearhead internal communication initiatives to foster employee engagement and organizational alignment
   • Coordinate executive townhalls, facilitate leadership-employee connections, and collaborate with HR on engagement programs
   • Develop impactful messaging for key leadership addresses at significant corporate events
3. Media Relations and Crisis Management
   • Cultivate and nurture strategic relationships with influential journalists and media outlets
   • Ensure prompt and effective responses to media inquiries
   • Design and implement crisis communication protocols for traditional and digital platforms
   • Provide strategic counsel to leadership during critical situations
4. Industry Intelligence and Trend Analysis
   • Monitor and analyse media coverage, social media trends, and public sentiment relevant to Syngenta and the agricultural sector
   • Synthesize insights on industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive landscapes to inform PR strategies
5. Resource Optimization and Agency Management
   • Oversee PR agency partnerships, ensuring alignment with Syngenta's objectives
   • Manage PR budgets strategically, maximizing resource allocation for optimal impact
6. Sustainability Projects Management
   • Spearhead sustainability initiatives as directed by functional leadership
   • Ensure all sustainability projects comply with environmental regulations and Syngenta's internal policies
7. Performance Measurement and Reporting
   • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for PR initiatives
   • Deliver comprehensive reports on PR activities, outcomes, and ROI to senior management

• Vietnam micro economic knowledge and business environment with focus to agriculture.
• Knowledge of agricultural industry trends and challenges.
• Proficiency in PR measurement tools and social media platforms.
• Relationship management and public relation affairs organisation skills.    

Critical experience

• Strong media relations skills and established network of media contacts.
• 7+ years of experience in public relations, preferably in the agricultural or science/technology sectors.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful PR campaigns.
