We are currently seeking a Production Planning Analyst for the Flowers Commercial Seeds group located in Alva, Florida. As the Production Planning Analyst, you are responsible for managing and communicating yield data to the site stakeholders through the data systems in a timely manner.
 
You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:
Coordinating with the supply and production planners on all planning aspects and timely communication to mitigate any deviation from plan.
Managing starter materials according to the farm plan.
Responsible for management of short and midterm production planning in concert with farm plan for all crops in line with the agreed plan with the supply and production planners.

Accountabilities

  • Work with the supply planner to agree on production volumes and supply plan scenarios based on farm space and starter material availability to support the demand plan.
  • Ensure communicate and coordination with the production team, production planner, supply planner, and customer service.
  • Monitor and work closely with the operation team on optimal usage of supply in early and late seasons, including timely buildups and discard of stock, as well as risk management.
  • Develop KPIs for all crops and monitor the cost of production.
  • Participate in process improvement projects within planning processes.
  • Design layouts for new plantings to ensure that they meet specified needs.
  • Ensure that the appropriate amount of inventory is in the storage for sales and own stock. 
  • Keep information systems up to date with the current inventory at the site. 

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in operations, production, or supply chain.
  • Knowledge of production, inventory management, planning, scheduling and sales cycles,
  • Be able to create and update S&OP for all production planning process.
  • Knowledge in multiple SAP functions is a plus.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with ornamental/Cutting production is preferable.
  • Horticulture and Finance knowledge is a plus
  • Advanced computer literate, knowledgeable work skills with Microsoft Suite of Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
  • Must be Fluent in English, Spanish fluency is desirable
