Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Specialist Solanaceae to join our team in NWA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing our product portfolio related to Solanaceae crops in the North West Africa region. You will work closely with customers, research teams, and marketing departments to ensure the success of our products and drive growth in the market.

  • Develop and implement product strategies for Solanaceae crops in the North West Africa region
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Solanaceae sector
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to create innovative solutions for Solanaceae crop cultivation
  • Provide technical support and expertise to customers on Solanaceae crop management
  • Organize and conduct field trials and demonstrations to showcase product effectiveness
  • Develop and deliver training programs for internal teams and customers
  • Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on product performance and market insights
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop effective promotional materials and campaigns
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and promote products
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Solanaceae industry, including growers, distributors, and research teams
  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategies and sales forecasts for Solanaceae products in the North West Africa region
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of products and manage inventory levels effectively
  • Identify and propose potential partnerships or acquisitions to expand the company's Solanaceae product portfolio
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance for all Solanaceae products in the region

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field; 
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in agriculture or horticulture, preferably with Solanaceae crops
  • Proven experience in product development or management in the agricultural sector
  • In-depth knowledge of Solanaceae crops and their cultivation practices
  • Strong understanding of agricultural practices in North West Africa
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French and Arabic is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant CRM systems
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the North West Africa region
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
