Product Placement Phenotyping Intern

What will you do?

• Walk many plots to estimate the emergence quality and early season vigor of our late-stage hybrids.
• Collect many drone flights early in the season to better capture data from targeted locations with the objective of delivering a new index for emergence quality and early season vigor.
• Subjectively rating plots to estimate these traits for our commercial ratings
• Collect data across as many locations as possible using different measure (RGB, Imagery, Lidar, …). 
•  Analyze data to determine how best to put an index together for objectively measuring these characteristic traits.

Estimated Duration: May 2025 through August 2025

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in plant breeding, agronomy, seeds production research or precision agronomy
• Must be a current student continuing education upon completion of internship term
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable moving violations record

• Intermediate to advanced statistical analysis skills with regard to phenotypic data
• Knowledge of agronomics and plant breeding
• Fluency in at least one computing language or software
